Music journalist and writer for amongst others he has written for Esquire, GQ Magazine, The New Statesman, The Guardian, The Observer and The Sunday Telegraph. Between 1977 and 1983 he wrote for the NME. Now he has gone on to publish several books about music, his most recent book, Piece by Piece: Writing About Joy Division 1977-2007,is a collection of his articles on the seminal punk band. Coming up in 2010 is Tony Wilson: The Definitive Biography. Few people know more about the Manchester music scene than journalist Paul Morley. Even Tony Wilson himself gave Paul Morley the thumbs up referring to Paul as one of the voices of his generation.
