Luuk Gruwez is a writer with many faces; prose, autobiographic works, play scripts, columns and essays. But above he is a poet. In the past 35 years his published work has included ten collections of poetry and four books of autobiographical prose. His essay for the Day of Poetry this year Pizza Peperkoek & andere geheimen [Pizza, Gingerbread & other secrets] is his personal plea for poetry.
