In the Low Countries this man hardly needs an introduction but here it is in anyway: Erwin Mortier has published various novels, poetry collections and essays. The recurring theme in his oeuvre is his concern for language and the memories encompassed therein.
Earlier this year his publication Voor de stad en de wereld, de gedichten tot dusver [For the city and the world, the poems so far] he looks back at ten years work as a poet.
