In LPG's songs you can clearly hear the old legends of the 60s and 70s (Beach Boys, Beatles, Velvet Underground) combined with influences from the more recent indie-scene (Beck, The Shins) resulting in catchy, polyphonic pop songs full of surprising twists and bends. The band LPG hail from Groningen and this was also the place they premiered their Blinded Show at Eurosonic festival this year. The concept was born from experiencing electricity failure during repetition one day. The band decided to carry on rehearsing in the dark. The purity of sound in its heightened state of awareness in the darkness is what they give their audience (along with a blindfold)...be brave and you'll be rewarded with a special experience.
